Medicine
At Tanglefoot Veterinary Services, our experienced team provides medical care for horses of all breeds, ages, and disciplines, including pleasure horses, performance horses, and breeding animals. With extensive expertise in equine health, diagnosis, treatment, and care, we are dedicated to ensuring the well-being of every horse we treat.
Our clinic features a padded rubber room designed for injectable anesthetic procedures, allowing for a safe and smooth ‘knock-down’ and recovery process. Additionally, we offer an indoor stall equipped for IV fluid therapy, as well as several outdoor stalls to accommodate horses undergoing medical treatment.

Additional training has enabled our veterinarians to offer a variety of diagnostic techniques and tools to evaluate the health status of horses and diagnose medical conditions. This may include physical examinations, in house and send out laboratory tests (bloodwork, urine analysis, fecal testing), diagnostic imaging (X- rays, ultrasound), endoscopy (gastric or respiratory), and other specialized tests and procedures.
Medical conditions that we diagnose and treat include but are not limited to:
- Lameness and musculoskeletal disorders
- Respiratory diseases (e.g., equine asthma, pneumonia): Diagnostics offered include upper airway scope, bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL), trans-tracheal wash (TTW)
